FROME

FROME is a coined word combining From, meaning starting point, and Experience, meaning experience. Taking the theme extracted from the experience as a starting point, the image is embodied through the use of textured materials and a modest method of expression. I am creating my work while imagining a way of being for people and things that naturally fosters self-dialogue: a large margin of space where each person can find their own value, a unique appearance that appears in the change of texture after long use, and the natural development of self-dialogue.

Ryuko Tsushin x nostos books

The pop-up store will sell "Ryuko Tsushin," a one-issue reprint of the book to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Shibuya PARCO's opening. In addition, selected books on graphic design from the 70s and 80s, avant-garde art expressions of the previous era, and fashion photography will be on sale.

A stone that contains tens of thousands of years of time is wrapped in leather and rolled in the palm of your hand.
It is just the right shape to fit in your hand.
It acts both as an object that sits on a desk and as a tool that evokes memories.
Is it the memory of the stone or my own memory that comes to mind?

We will exhibit and sell Leather Wrapped Stone, a physical object made by wrapping a stone in leather. We will also be taking orders for leather-wrapped stones that will be delivered to you at a later date. We hope this will be an opportunity for you to find your favorite stone among the different shapes, sizes, and weights.

Rivet Box, a storage box, will be exhibited and sold for the first time at this exhibition. The Rivet Box is a box for organizing and storing various items that are the source of ideas, closing the lid to deepen one's thinking, and opening the lid again to gain new insights. Please take a look at the texture of the hard fiber board made mainly from wood and used paper, and the simple and unsophisticated appearance of the riveted fasteners.

FROME's representative, Mr. Shioda, will be at the store for the entire 4-day exhibition.

The first solo exhibition of the Craft Project "Fromm" will be held.
The Leather Wrapped Stone is a "physical object" in which the weight of the stone and the texture of the leather can be experienced. The leather softly conveys the presence of the stone to your hand, and you will never get tired of feeling its touch. As you casually hold it in your hand, the texture will grow and eventually it will become a unique presence.
